Lately...

... my thoughts have run wild; its been so hard to keep track of it all. I find myself having these long monologues on my solitary daily commutes through the city's boroughs. Today it was about politics and my shock at how complacent the world has become. How people seem to be living in a bubble, completely unaware. I don't believe in getting involved in partisan politics, so this post has nothing to do with it. What I am raising here is just dismay at the ignorance and lack of interest in raising fundamental questions that concretely lead to solutions. What's with the empty rhetoric like values, interests, and way of life. Why no one stops to question or define these terms? What exactly are these interests, or whose interests are they? And what is this way of life we are trying to preserve so intently?
